Tatura’s Humala House puts on community art show

By Ilias Bakalla

Humala House Gallery in Tatura will be hosting a community art show on December 1.

Artworks will be available for purchase, with 20 per cent of the funds going to Sacred Heart School Tatura.

The exhibition will include mixed media and collages by Lynne Blackwood-Hume, mixed media artworks by Sue Graves, glass mosaic work by Sharron Kriesfeld, traditional artwork by Narelle Snelling and contemporary work by Linda Lee.

“I’m feeling excited about the event,” Ms Blackwood-Hume, who is also the organiser, said.

“The main thing is to show people that there are artists here in Tatura and we’re happy to answer any questions people have about our mediums.

“The Tatura bakery is open until 2 pm on Sunday, so people can get a coffee during the exhibit.”
