Hill Top women’s golf notes

The stableford event sponsored by Café a Roma was played in pleasant conditions.

A-grade winner Sue Turnbull did everything right to score 40 points, with Heather Long playing steady golf to be runner-up with 36 points.

Gail Wootton enjoyed her day off work, to have everything go right for her on the golf course, as she scored 40 points to win B-grade. Runner-up was Kerry Gross with 34 points on countback.

Ball winners: Chris Coleman 35, Bev Roberts 34, Julie-Ann Ward, Sheryl Curran and Deb Reilly 33 points.

Nearest to the pins: Third Blossoms with Love - Liz Mulcahy; sixth Tatura Hot Bread - Julie-Ann Ward; ninth Café Alofa - Di Day; 14th one-4-One Café - Bev Roberts.

Edna Starritt event: This Friday the final will be played, with Liz Mulcahy and Di Day taking on Kerry Gross and Mandy McGrath. Members are encouraged to come along and support the girls as they strive to win this prestigious event, and to enjoy the refreshments back at the club following play.

Wednesday’s stroke event will feature the playoff of the Silver Spoon between the following players: Judy Baker, Liz Mulcahy, Terri Wangeman and Deb Reilly. The winner will play for a case of spoons at the Keysborough Golf Club on November 18.

Monthly Medal winners during the season will play off for the Star Medallist. The medal winners playing off are: Jan Coe, Robyn Downs, Lyn Flett, Kerry Gross, Judy Baker, Lyn Fanning, Sue Turnbull and Heather Long.

Tomorrow's event: Stroke, sponsored by Drummond Golf. Star Medal playoff, Silver Spoon playoff, eighth round HT Brooch, second qualifying round of the Veterans event.
