Former top Qld policeman Mike Condon has been cleared of misconduct over the Morcombe investigation.

Queensland Police's investigation which ultimately led to the conviction of Brett Peter Cowan for the murder of 13-year-old Daniel Morcombe has been cleared of corruption.

Allegations over possible police misconduct, including perjury, prompted the state's Crime and Corruption Commission to examine the investigation into Daniel's disappearance and evidence given at a coronial inquest.

"Based on all the material examined and the broader investigation, the CCC has determined there is insufficient grounds for the consideration of any criminal prosecution or disciplinary proceedings in relation to the allegations," the CCC said in a statement.
