Tatura Rotary Community Art Show

By Laura Briggs

A diverse range of eye-catching artwork captured the attention of many at the Tatura Rotary Community Art Show on the weekend.

The 13th annual event began with a warm welcome from Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Kim O’Keeffe before guests were treated to entertainment provided by singers from Opera Australia, including Michael Lapina.

The show continued throughout the weekend with a number of special guests who brought the building to life as people browsed the fine art.

Art show convenor Rhonda Rose said following the success of previous years, the Rotary Club of Tatura was thrilled by the continued momentum.

With 480 individual artworks up for grabs, Miss Rose expected that about 20 per cent of pieces would sell during the three days.

She said the show was only made possible by the faithful volunteers, talented artists and generous sponsors.
