New members always welcomed

Tatura Lions Club has always had its wood raffle at this time of year and this has been strongly supported by the community.

Tatura Lions Club is delighted to have recently inducted two new members.

Helen Hoskin and Lorrie Jones are caring and compassionate community members eager to support their town.

Tatura Lions Club is always looking for, and is ‘‘open armed’’ towards, new members.

The club is holding its ‘Changeover’ (new committee induction) on Saturday, June 23, at The Great Australian Beer Shed in Echuca and invite anyone who would like to come along and meet the group in a social environment.

This is a great opportunity if you have ever considered becoming a ‘‘Lion’’ and want to know more.

It will be a great night as this venue has an enormous amount of memorabilia and the trip down memory lane is a sure thing.

Cost for the event includes two-course meal for $40 plus drinks.

Please advise Sharon Hopkins of your intention to attend no later than Saturday, June 16 on 0416494476.

Wood raffle

Tatura Lions Club has always had its wood raffle at this time of year and this has been strongly supported by the community.

Unfortunately it became very difficult for members to obtain wood at the end of the last season, so after much discussion we have decided to end this raffle and focus on a giant stocking raffle around Christmas time.

We will potentially draw this at our carols evening in mid-December.

We thank you all for your continued support and if anyone has any unwanted items — maybe a gift you were given and do not need — and would like to kick off our collection for the stocking, phone Sharon on 0416494476.

She will arrange collection.
