Mansfield was first on the scoreboard, however consistent play down the court soon saw Tatura settle well and play its own clean game.

Once again led by the defence of Molly Boyle and Emma Ryan, who were not only rebounding well and intercepting the ball on a regular basis, but they provided great defensive pressure down the court.

This provided midcourters Madi Davis, Paigin Impey and Roey Walls with the opportunity to feed the ball cleanly to goalers Brylee Schache and Danielle Cornwall, who finished off with some beautiful goals.

In the third quarter Tatura scored 11 goals while its defenders restricted Mansfield to one.

Four consistent quarters saw Tatura come away with a 28-goal win.

Tatura 45 defeated Mansfield 17.

Best players: Molly Boyle, Emma Ryan and Danielle Cornwall.

B-grade

Once again Tatura was slow to start, with goalers struggling to find their accuracy in the ring.

Jade Kay and Kobe Worner again worked hard in the defence circle to combat the Mansfield goalers, who were accurate.

Changes were made at quarter-time, with the versatile Jade Kay going into goals and Chelsea Jones coming into the defence circle.

This saw Tatura increase its intensity and apply defensive pressure on the Mansfield players, which showed on the scoreboard.

It also resulted in an improved transition down the court.

Tatura actually outscored Mansfield in the last half, shooting 24 goals to 21, but it was not enough for a Tatura win, going down by eight goals.

Mansfield 44 defeated Tatura 36.

Best players: Kobe Worner, Jade Kay and Chelsea Jones.

B-reserve

The girls began well in this game against Mansfield.

Sarah Nihill, who is becoming a versatile player, ran the centre for the first quarter before moving into defence.

Shooters Beth Seccull and Sarah Casey worked well together in the ring.

At half-time Tatura was within reach, only five down, however Mansfield came out in the third quarter increasing its intensity and accuracy, shooting 15 goals to Tatura’s five.

However, Tatura was not done with yet, and Beth Seccull played a great last quarter assisting Tatura with a 10-goal-to-7 quarter. But it was not enough to get Tatura over the line.

Mansfield got its first win by 12 goals.

Mansfield 41 defeated Tatura 29.

Best players: Sarah Nihill, Beth Seccull and Sarah Casey.

17-and-under

Tatura came to play with all players working hard all over the court.

Olivia had a fantastic game in goal shooter, only missing two goals for the whole four quarters.

She combined well with Maddy in wing attack and worked hard across the midcourt using her speed and quick hands to deliver the ball quickly into the goalers, who finished off great play with their accuracy.

Lauren worked tirelessly in centre, providing many options around the ring and accurate feeds into the circle.

The coaches were able to rotate all 10 players throughout the game without upsetting the balance of the team which saw Tatura earn its first win by 17 goals. It was a great team win.

Tatura 58 defeated Mansfield 41.

Best players: Olivia Vraca, Maddy Hall and Lauren McMahon.

15-and-under

It was a strong start with attackers working well all through the court.

Accuracy in goals reflected on the scoreboard.

Positional changes worked well in attack and defence, with many combinations trialled during the course of the game.

All combinations worked well for the whole of the game, with Tatura recording a comfortable win.

Tatura 53 defeated Tatura 17.

Best players: Rebecca Valentin, Maya Rutherford and Elise Boyer.
