15-and-under

Tatura 50 def

Shepparton Bears 24.

The game started at a fast pace with both teams displaying good netball skills. Tatura worked harder,which showed on the scoreboard as the margin increased each quarter.

Training drills were put to the test with defensive pressure and court systems evident. An excellent third quarter by Tatura set up a strong win.

Best players: Hayley Rennie, Elsie Boyer, Eliza Pyke.

17-and-under

Shepparton Bears 46 def Tatura 33.

Tatura played a great game against the Shepp Bears, playing with great intensity for the first three quarters.

Maddy Hall played with great intent and has a great voice directing her teammates.

Maddy contested every ball that come her way.

Emily Wilson was strong in defence with great contesting and rebounding everything that came her way.

Goalers Stephanie Hicks and Olivia Vraca worked well together in the goal ring.

In the last quarter Tatura’s intensity dropped and Shepp Bears’ increased, which resulted in a 13-goal loss.

Best players: Maddy Hall, Emily Wilson, Stephanie Hicks, Olivia Vraca.

B-reserve

Shepparton Bears 87 def Tatura 7.

Bears came out as a strong, well-oiled unit with tall timber up both ends.

Defensive pressure from Lara Hapurona and Amy Cook provided numerous turnovers for the team and their talk and determination kept spirits high. It was a tough game .

Best players: Lara Hapurona, Amy Cook, Stephanie Brisbane.

B-grade

Shepparton Bears 56 def Tatura 24.

B-grade came up against a well drilled team in the Shepparton Bears, who were clean with their disposals.

Tatura had difficulty getting the ball into the ring to the goalers. Cassie Work worked hard in the mid-court, while Jade Kay was strong in defence with her rebounding and intercepts and general play down the court.

Each quarter saw Tatura improve its goal accuracy, however the Bears were too good on the day.

Best players: Cassie Work, Jade Kaye, Kobi Warner.

A-grade

Shepparton Bears 59 def Tatura 33.

Shepparton Bears played a fast game which left Tatura on the back foot.

Tatura started to play its on-game towards the end of the first quarter.

Molly Boyle and Emma Ryan applied great pressure on the Shepp Bears goalers and were successful with rebounds.

Tatura successfully went with its first option, working the ball patiently into the goal ring.

Positional changes were made at half-time.

Paigan Impey continued to make her presence felt in the mid-court — she was everywhere.

However, Shepparton is a well-drilled team which was able to come away with a 26-goal win.

Best players: Paigan Impey, Emma Ryan, Maddi Davis.
