The Cubby House Occasional Childcare is undergoing some changes from July 2.
The occasional care service is funded by the Federal Government under the service type of non-formula funded occasional care (NFF-OCC).
After a transition period, The Cubby House will work under the Child Care Subsidy offering local families the chance to receive a rebate for using their service.
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is determined by three factors — family income, the activity level of both parents and the type of child care service.
Parents are able to use the estimator online to figure out their entitlements.
These changes should help support low-income families and provide greater flexibility.
The Cubby House is also hoping to expand to three days a week, offering an extra five-hour day for families.
