Join us for Anzac Day services

April 17, 2018

Service looms: Two World War II Jeeps, driven by Geoff Reid and Robert Ferguson, carried diggers during Tatura’s Anzac Day march down Hogan St in 2015

The Tatura RSL Sub-Branch president and members would like to cordially invite the people of Tatura and district to join with them in observing the Commemoration Service on Anzac Day, Wednesday, April 25.

The dawn service will be conducted in the Private Robert Mactier VC Memorial Gardens at 5.30pm followed by breakfast.

The next service will begin about 11am in the Private Robert Mactier V.C. Memorial Gardens, Hogan St, Tatura.

All serving and ex-service men and women along with descendants of deceased service personal are respectfully invited to join in a march along Hogan St from Victory Hall to the Memorial Gardens.

Please meet at 10.30am for a 10.45am march. Everyone is encouraged to wear medals. As a mark of respect for the Anzac Day Parade, all drivers along Hogan St are asked to stop to allow the marchers unrestricted passage to the Memorial Gardens.

The Tatura Lions Club will be holding a community get together sausage sizzle in the surrounding parkland for a gold coin donation after the commemoration service.
