It was an exciting day for the staff and students of Tatura Primary School as new buildings were lowered onto the property on Friday, March 9.
The school received a temporary administration building, staffroom and toilets from Pakenham to replace Block A at the front of the school.
The school received $2.54 million as part of the 2017-2018 state budget and the Permanent Modular School Buildings Program for a new building.
Currently in the ‘‘design’’ phase of the project, Tatura Primary School is set to begin demolition phase in April with construction starting in July and the building due to open in October.
Tatura Primary School principal Susanne Gill was delighted to see the first signs of change on the school grounds last week.
‘‘It was exciting to see the cranes lowering the new buildings on to the school,’’ Mrs Gill said.
‘‘We are looking forward to construction and receiving our new building later in the year.’’
