Howley Oval and its surrounds was turned a distinct shade of pink on Saturday.

Tatura’s Pink Stumps Day attracted more than 70 women to the clubrooms for an afternoon of fun and raised vital funds for The McGrath Foundation.

More than $3500 will be donated from the event towards placing breast care nurses in communities around Australia and increasing awareness in young women about breast cancer.

Tatura’s Nicole Sleeth was among those to tell her story to the crowd after defeating non-hormone breast cancer, with support from a McGrath Foundation breast care nurse.
