It’s been a busy year for Tatura Primary School’s student council representatives who have been at the heart of the school’s fundraising efforts.

‘‘The students have developed good leadership skills and represented the school in the community at events such as Remembrance Day and Anzac Day,’’ principal Susanne Gill said.

‘‘They have also helped run the school’s fundraisers during the year.’’

The students, one from each year group except for years 5 and 6 which contribute two representatives, were elected at the start of the year and are tasked with making school announcements and running assemblies.

‘‘They have been role models to their peers and learned about leadership and some were lucky to attend a leadership conference during the year,’’ Ms Gill said.

A new student council will be elected next year.
