Christmas in the Bush

The celebration begins at Chinaman's Hill.

Molly and Jandi relax at the Rushworth Prospecting Club's Christmas party.

The Rushworth Prospecting Club entertained members, visitors and guests with a Christmas-themed party in the Whroo forest.

With 40 in attendance the festive proceedings involved club-provided barbecue meats and a magnificent array of salads and sweets ably prepared by the members.

Certainly some fine five-star dining in the Aussie bush.

More than 20 caravan singles and couples took the opportunity to camp in the bush for the occasion, while 10 persons made an evening trip.

A decorated table competition, a Kris Kringle and a raffle also took place.

Many members also took the opportunity to do some gold detecting, remaining in the location for four to five days, but the gold was elusive and only minimal amounts were found.

The club’s Christmas outing was the last for this calendar year and they will not resume detecting pursuits until the weather is a little cooler around February next year.
