The Tatura Swimming Pool opened for the summer season on Saturday and season passes are now available from the facility.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s team leader of leisure facilities Steven Wilson said the opening weekend was usually quite busy with people stocking up on their season passes.
‘‘We’ve got memberships for families, children and adults,’’ Mr Wilson said.
More than 10500 people utilised the Tatura Swimming Complex during the 2016-17 season and Mr Wilson said maintenance staff had been working hard at the facility during the winter months.
‘‘The Tatura and Mooroopna pool bases have been freshly painted and the Tatura community will have access to two new accessible change rooms open for the first time this year,’’ he said.
Mr Wilson said once again, the Tatura pool would be a great place to cool down and have some fun.
‘‘If you would like to get active at the pool this year, we will have a wide range of programs and activities just for you,’’ he said.
‘‘For a full-list of our programs and activities check out your local pool or download the Get Mooving Greater Shepparton App.
‘‘There will be a range of activities happening over summer from giant inflatables and water games for the kids through to aqua-aerobics and early morning swimming for the big kids at heart.’’
The Tatura pool will be open from noon to 7pm daily.
Mr Wilson said, depending on weather conditions opening times could change.
‘‘Extended operating hours will come into play from December 18,’’ he said.
