Bike theft probed

Police are investigating the theft of two pushbikes stolen from Station St, Murchison, sometime overnight on October 21.

‘‘One bike, a green Trax pushbike, was recovered in Robinson St,’’ Murchison police Leading Senior Constable Ricky Keast said.

‘‘It was found hidden in someone’s yard that hasn’t got a connection to the bike.’’

The second bike — a blue 27-inch unknown branded bike — has yet to be found and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Ldg Snr Const Keast said the value of the bikes totalled $159.

Trailer stolen

Police are investigating the theft of a trailer sometime between October 4 and 11.

‘‘The seven by five metre silver trailer was stolen from the rear yard of the Caledonian Hotel,’’ Murchison police Leading Senior Constable Ricky Keast said.

‘‘It is valued at $1400... registration is V23458... the offenders have obviously hooked it onto a car and fled.’’

Tablet owner sought

Police are looking for the owner of a mini-tablet, which was found in Tatura on Sunday.

‘‘We are trying to get it back to its owner who should be able to describe it,’’ Shepparton police Sergeant Michelle Mason said.
