Nominations open for Australia Day awards

Stephanie Gorrie received Tatura's 2017 Australia Day sports award for her work in the netball industry. Nominations are now open for Tatura and Greater Shepparton's 2018 awards.

Nominations are now open for Australia Day awards for Tatura and Greater Shepparton in the categories: Australia day citizen of the year-Tatura /Greater Shepparton; Australia Day young citizen of the year-Tatura Greater Shepparton; Australia day community event of the year Tatura /Greater Shepparton; Australia Day senior citizen of the year Tatura/Greater Shepparton; Australia day sports award-Tatura/Greater Shepparton; Australia Day academic award-Tatura/Greater Shepparton.

Your nominee must have demonstrated excellence in their field and inspired others in their community.

Sports awards are are open to all sports people of any age and also those on committees or involved in training programs.

Academic award for persons who have achieved high standards in education self improvement apprenticeships and others.

Community event will recognise a person or group who has organised an event through a cultural art or sporting event that has raised funds for the community.

Nominations close on December 1.
