September 26, 2017

Kath Flanagan with team winners Robyn Downs, Bev Roberts, sponsor Trish Warnett, Gail Meneilly and Sheryl Curran.

The Kath Flanagan Team’s event, sponsored by Trish Warnett, was played in lovely, sunny conditions.

Trish has sponsored this event for many years, in honour of her mother, who was an inaugural member of Hill Top and also a life member.

Four cards were randomly selected at the end of play to determine the lucky combination.

The winning team consisted of Bev Roberts who had a day out scoring 41 points, Robyn Downs 35, Gail Meneilly 29 and Sheryl Curran with 26, totalling 131 points.

Runners up, with 123 points, were Sue Turnbull 36, Pat Serra 34, Terri Wangeman 33 and Bett Jeffers 20 points.

Ball winners were Lyn McLean who was visiting from Nagambie Golf club, Joan Hill and Judy Baker all with 35 points.

Nearest to the pins went to Bev Roberts on the third (Gallery Café) and ninth (Café Alofa), Jan Coe on the sixth (Tatura Hot Bread) and Terri Wangeman on the 14th (One4One café).

Nine Hole Competition: Joyce Tavener, having had some time off with shoulder issues, returned a score of 17 points to win the event.

Helen Williams won a ball with 15 points.

The index of some holes will be changed on the cards in early October after some consideration and research from the committee.
