Tatura Fire Brigade Auxiliary continues to raise money towards the town's new fire station, which will be built in the next three to four years.

More than $500 was raised at the recently held Tatura Fire Brigade Auxiliary soup and sandwich luncheon.

Auxiliary secretary Gail Pollerd said there were almost 70 people in attendance and they enjoyed three varieties of soup.

‘‘There was not as many people as usual due to some other things being on,’’ Ms Pollerd said.

The auxiliary raises funds for the Tatura Fire Brigade and Ms Pollerd said every little bit helped to put toward the new station, which would be built in the next three to four years at the Tatura Racecourse.

‘‘We’ll be having more fundraisers this year, so keep an eye out for what’s coming up,’’ she said.

Guests also enjoyed browsing through trading tables during the luncheon.
