Former Tatura Basketball Association player and current Shepparton Gators player Gabe Evans will be on-hand to teach skills.

The Tatura Basketball Association will host Shepparton Gators senior men’s players at a development evening tomorrow night.

Tatura Basketball Association’s Lisa Cullum said all were welcome to attend the session where former Tatura players Gabe Evans and Nicholas Dodd will be on-hand to coach those present.

Players Justin Patton and Kyle Howe-Tipene will also join in to provide guidance.

‘‘They’ll take them through some drills and skills and possibly a game or two,’’ Ms Cullum said.

‘‘The idea is to get kids out on the court.

‘‘We just run a junior competition, so it’s great for our little guys to see where their basketball can take them.’’

The association is also gearing up for its spring competition, which kicks off next month on August 21.

Ms Cullum said they were also urgently looking for someone to co-ordinate the Aussie Hoops program for the term.

‘‘Aussie Hoops is a pre-competition basketball program for six-to-10-year-olds,’’ she said.

‘‘The program will be unable to go ahead if we are unable to find a co-ordinator.’’
