Put your thinking caps on

July 25, 2017

Ellie Phillips and Glen Daniel are keen to get their trivia on.

You’re a Quizard, Harry or maybe the Quizard of Oz is more fitting — whatever your preferred trivia team name is you can get quizzical at the Goulburn Valley Young Professionals trivia night.

Quiz masters and GVYP committee members Ellie Phillips and Glen Daniel are excited to get their trivia on and have devised a range of questions.

How many boats came over in the first fleet and who won the 2015 Brownlow Medal could be on the quiz agenda.

But rest assured, for those quizzing in their pants at the idea of answering questions there will be a variety of categories to test your knowledge.

Rounds will include sport, history, world news, music, movies, local and more.

Mr Daniel said this trivia night would be different to others because there would be other smaller competitions like a table tennis happening to get people up and meeting one another.

‘‘It’ll be a fun night and obviously you’ll get to meet new people and get out and about,’’ Mr Daniel said.

‘‘It’s something different,’’ Ms Phillips said.

‘‘It’s a cheap way to have a good night out.’’

The night will include drinks at bar prices, a catered for dinner and the opportunity to win some prizes.

■The GVYP Trivia Night will be held on Friday, July 28, at 6.30pm for a 7pm start at St Mel’s Primary School, 35 Hamilton St, Shepparton. Cost is $25 for non-GVYP members and $20 for members. RSVP for catering purposes to [email protected] by Wednesday, July 26. Payment to attend the event can be made at the door on the night or through GV Young Professionals, BSB 033254 Account Number 476704 with a reference of your first initial and surname.
