Tatura Sacred Heart Primary School students returned to classes last week where the juniors are busily preparing for the Grandparents’ Mass to be held next month.

‘‘All classes have settled well in the first week of term,’’ deputy principal Matt Cameron said.

Mr Cameron said the junior classes were looking forward to the special mass on August 4.

‘‘(The students will be) leading another beautiful celebration for us by reading the Prayers of the Faithful, carrying the Gospel and Offertory, and hopefully sharing a reflection with us following Communion,’’ Mr Cameron said.

‘‘The Grandparents’ Mass is held annually and is one of our most well-attended celebrations.

‘‘Grandparents travel from near and far to spend the morning in our school.’’

Another exciting event is on the horizon.

The school will hold its production on Wednesday, September 13.

‘‘Preparation for the school production is well under way with classes rehearsing their lines and costumes beginning to be discussed and created,’’ Mr Cameron said.

‘‘The theme for the production is ‘Space’ and students are currently working on the development of their own title for the show.’’

The Prep/Year 1 students will travel to Bendigo tomorrow and the Year 2 students will travel to Scienceworks on Friday.
