The Tatura VICSES unit recently received a cash injection thanks to the Goulburn Valley Fins and Fenders Car Club.

The club recently presented the donation at the Tatura Hotel from funds raised at the annual Tatura Show and Shine held in October each year.

GV Fins and Fenders’ Janine McNiece said the presentation coincided with the club’s annual general meeting and celebration of its recent major sponsorship by the Tatura Hotel.

Newly elected club president Kevin Jones said he was looking forward to a sociable season with many club runs and outings planned.

‘‘The Goulburn Valley Fins and Fenders Car Club has again been invited to assist with the EJ-EH Nationals that will be held in conjunction with Springnats in Shepparton on November 24 to 26 and the club is looking forward to hosting all the participants,’’ he said.

Mr Jones also reminded residents to mark Sunday, October 15, in their diaries as the club prepares for the annual Tatura Show and Shine, held at the Tatura Racecourse from 9am.

‘‘Funds raised will be donated back into the Tatura community,’’ he said.

‘‘The event attracts more cars, more car enthusiasts and more families each year and is fast becoming another highlight on the Goulburn Valley regions events calendar.

‘‘Tatura Show and Shine is a magnificent day out in the glorious October weather our region offers.

‘‘With a jumping castle from It’s Party Time Jumping Castles, face painting by Enchanted Rainbow, the Kyabram Engine Club’s stationary engine display, the Italian Social Club cooking the barbecue, a Coffee Mobile Van, ice-creams, party ponies and local Kyabram band, B4 the Storm.

‘‘There will be lots to see and do.

‘‘It’s only a gold coin donation for spectator entry which great value for families.’’
