Mountain bike theft investigated

Murchison police are investigating the theft of distinctive bike from a residential property.

Police are investigating the theft of a $400 mountain bike in River Rd, Murchison this month.

Sometime between June 10 and June 18 the ‘‘brand-new’’ red and black bike, emblazed with the words Euro Bike, was stolen from a resident’s driveway, police say.

‘‘It’s a distictive men’s bike and the victim believes someone has walked past and grabbed it,’’ Murchison police Leading Senior Constable Ricky Keast said.
