Charged with theft

A Tatura female, 31, has been charged with theft after she stole a number of grocery items from a supermarket in Hogan St, Tatura on February 1.

Police said she has been bailed and will appear at the Shepparton Magistrates Court on March 27.

Explosive device found

Police on patrol located an IED explosive in Cussen Park, Tatura on January 15, just before 10pm.

Police said the bomb squad was called to extinguish the explosive and Shepparton Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating.

Caught drunk in public

A Mooroopna male, 25, was arrested for being drunk in a public place in Hogan St, Tatura on January 27.

Police said the man was issued with a penalty notice and was fined $622.

Grocery items taken

A Tatura female, 21, has been charged with theft after she stole a number of grocery items from a supermarket in Hogan St, Tatura on January 23.

Police said she has been bailed and will appear at the Shepparton Magistrates Court on February 20.

Number plates nabbed

Police are investigating the theft of number plates from a vehicle on High Rd, Murchison sometime between January 29 at 6pm and February 2 at 7am.

Police said the offender or offenders stole both plates, ZQZ 123, and anyone with information can phone Senior Constable Ricky Keast on 58262222.

Break-in probed

Police are investigating a break-in at the Murchison Medical Centre, on Impey St, where offenders are believed to have fled the scene after an alarm went off.

Police said offenders removed a fly-wire screen and windows but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

The incident occurred on January 26 at 11.20pm and anyone with information is urged to phone Senior Constable Ricky Keast on 58262222.
